Do I really have Adrenal Fatigue? I just want to feel better


Hey everyone, it's Vesna here, and today I just want to talk about if you have adrenal fatigue or not. It's one of the things that I certainly talk a lot about, and I know that other women talk a lot about, so I just want to address that. Regardless of whether you have it or not  if you're feeling the symptoms of adrenal fatigue, then most likely that will be because you're feeling the affects of excessive stress over time.

With adrenal fatigue, to give you a really simplified definition, it's basically the side effect of longterm stress, and it has this impact to the body where it creates lots of fatigue and it can create anxiety, depression, weight issues, and hormonal problems like PMT and PMS.

If you're feeling any of those symptoms, it does tend to point towards adrenal fatigue, but even if you don't have all those symptoms and you're struggling because you're feeling so tired all the time, and perhaps you're wired and stressed and you've noticed that there's a bit of excess weight coming on around the midsection, then there's certainly things that you can do in order to overcome those symptoms.

It doesn't need to be diagnosed as adrenal fatigue, but if  stress is a factor for you, and it is for most people in the modern world, let's be honest, then there's definitely things you can do to improve that.

One of the main things, when I talk to people about this, is looking at what is at the heart of the problem.

Obviously, if these symptoms are coming on due to excess stress, which is causing hormonal imbalances in our body, then in order to nip it in the bud, we want to look at what is causing us to be stressed? For a lot of women, they may think it's just because they've got so much to do in a day or maybe because they're getting older. T

hese are some of the reasons that I hear, but there's lots of things that could be draining you of energy that have nothing to do with that. The biggest thing that I see, is the stress triggers are kind of like our internal drivers to make us more stressed, which is thing for a lot of women, particularly for a lot of women in business.

I see that there's this drive to be perfect, so this perfectionism creates a lot of stress, there is the FOMO, the fear of missing out. I know we all have a bit of that. There's uncertainty. Certainly, in business there's uncertainty with cash flow. Always being in a rush, always being in a hurry. People pleasing, like trying to keep everyone satisfied but not pleasing yourself in the end.

All these things are drivers to cause us to be more stressed and therefore release a lot more stress hormones, causing our symptoms, such as fatigue, anxiety, weight gain, etc. That is definitely the first place that I would start.

The next thing that you need to look at is that long term stress breaks down three key systems in the body, and once those symptoms crash, that's when we get our symptoms. What you want to do is repair those three key systems in order to get your energy back and get your metabolism back online.
